THE OBJECTIVE

To build a single infrastructure system that integrates the fourteen discrete administrative functions of the R&DE(Engrs.) based in Pune, India.


THE CHALLENGE

R&DE(Engrs.) growth matched the hyper growth of the high tech industry by becoming one of the nation's premier research organization. As R&DE(Engrs.) workforce grew larger and increasingly dispersed at more remote locations nationwide, the company found itself weighed down by the tasks of manually processing the transactions and other related issues.


THE SOLUTION

First, the I.T. ProS, Inc. Professional Services team scheduled a series of meetings to consult with R&DE(Engrs.) They recommended the installation of a corporate intranet system which would encapsulate all the administrative functions of the organization, e.g., Purchase Order System, Movement Order System, Training Monitoring System, Movable Property Loan System and Home Loan System. A fully integrated intranet-based system helped R&DE(Engrs.) to reduce the turnaround time for approval of employee requests from about a month to 2 days thereby improving the employer-employee relationship and increasing the overall productivity of the organization.
