Description
Seeking Sr. level Unix
(DEC/Solaris) SA for immediate contract to Perm openings
at client locations in DC (Fortune 100 corp.)
Requirements
-
Bachelor's
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
-
Two
years of Dystem administration experience in a UNIX Engineering
business environment with substantial knowledge of the
UNIX operating system.
-
Three
years System Administration experience with Tru64 Unix
4.x on Compaq hardware platforms.
-
Three
years experience with Compaq Alpha Hardware, such as HSZxx
or HSGxx Controllers
-
Three
or more years experience with AdVfs and LSM experience.
-
One year
of work experience with Oracle database environments a
plus.
-
One year
of Systems Administration experience in the Sun/Solaris
2.x environment
-Proficiency working in an environment running 10BaseT
and 100BaseT TCP/IP networks using LDAP, NIS, DNS.
-
Programming
in languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, Perl and
interfacing with Legato, Autosys, Tivoli, Remedy, Sybase,
Oracle.
-
Working
knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and Web authoring
tools is preferred. Certain positions require Clustering,
SANS, Tru64 Unix 5.x, Datawarehousing, and Performance
Tuning a plus but not necessary

Ability
to work alone in an Engineering type environement.
